 A little about Me:
I am the 8th-grade Sciences Facilitator this is my fourth year teaching here at West. I am excited to see how much the young men will develop and grow academically and socially over the next school year. Please do not hesitate to email or call. My interest including reading, science fiction movies, Anime, and singing. I enjoy watching television with my family, watching movies, playing computer games, and video games(PS4 and Nintendo).

Cell Phone Guidelines in 8th Grade Science Course

1. Students will follow instructions given by teacher on assignments and projects using cell phones according to the course assignment or project’s purpose and task.

2. Students will not use their cell phones in this class for personal communication (i.e. calling or texting parents, family or friends; visiting web sites not listed in assignment).

3. Students may not record, videotape, or take pictures of the teacher or other students in the class, during class.

4. Students will not go to any inappropriate sites that they can access on their cell phones.

5. Students will respect each other’s property.

6. Students realize that this cellphone privilege is for this course only and will not try to use cell phones in another course in the school unless directed by the teacher.

7. If a student is defiant and refuses to follow the guidelines or teacher’s directions and expectations for cell phone use in the course, the student will not be allowed to use his/her cell phone in a future class or classes. Second cell phone defiance in this course will result in no cell phone use during class until after a scheduled meeting with student, teacher, and parent/guardian.

**Students MUST have their composition notebook by Friday, August 24th!**
Each student needs to bring the following supplies to Mr. Jones depending on which class period they are in. These supplies will be used throughout the year as CLASSROOM Supplies.

Period 1: 1- Big Box of Tissues, a pack of 12 colored pencils and 2 bottles of glue

Period 3: 1- Big Box of Tissues, 1 pack of 8 Colored Markers and 1 pack of 12 Colored Pencils

Period 4: 1- Big Box of Tissues, 1 pack of 12 Colored Pencils and 2 bottles of glue

Period 5: 1- Big Box of Tissues, 1 pack of 12 Colored Pencils and 1 pack of 8 Colored Markers

Period 6: 1- Big Box of Tissues, 1 box of 8 Colored Markers and 1 pack of 12 Colored Pencils

Period 7: 1- Big Box of Tissues, 1 box of 8 Colored Markers and 2 bottles of glue Period 8: 1- Big Box of Tissues, 2 bottles of glue, and a pack of 12 colored pencils
