I am a proud alumni of DeSoto High School.  I pursued undergraduate studies at the University of North Texas where I received a Bachelor of Science degree.  After exploring the field of social work, I decided to start my educational journey and received my teacher certification through Texas Women's University.  Later, I decided to further my education and received a Master of Education degree from Concordia University.  Currently I am embarking on nineteen years in education.  2018-2019 will make my 13th year as a Physical Education Teacher in DeSoto ISD.  Additionally, I coach 7th and 8th grade girls basketball and track.  In the spirit of building a healthy community, I serve on the School Health Advisory Committee for DeSoto ISD to help advocate for our student's health and wellness.  My educational journey has been very rewarding and I am proud to serve our thriving community. I look forward to helping our students discover their endless possibilities while they learn to embrace a healthy lifestyle.
